Forum #1: 90% opposed to a downtown plan Forum #2: 60% opposed to a downtown plan Forum #3: 70% opposed to a downtown plan The Omaha community has made it very clear at all three public forums that they WILL NOT SUPPORT a downtown stadium proposal. "In any election these numbers are considered a landslide victory." said Jason Smith, of Save Rosenblatt. The NCAA has consistently asked for a proposal that is supported by the community. Just a few weeks ago in a letter to Omaha, the NCAA stated that a community-based plan "is imperative" and it "must have the support of the Omaha community". The letter made at least six references to the Omaha community, including one about "the fans that support the Series" knowing that 60% of the CWS attendance is from the Omaha area. On the day of the third Public Forum an NCAA spokesperson reiterated the fact that they have made their position clear.
